Look Who's 1!!

Well despite the poor kid feeling super cruddy, it still managed to be a good day for him!  Like usual, we kept it low key, and even with cake mishaps and burning the turkey burgers to a crisp, it was still such a good time!  I can't believe it's been a year already.  He's working on his second tooth at the moment and it's giving him a lot of grief.  He loves it when him big brothers pay attention to him, which doesn't happen as often as we'd like, with the Lego always being out. But when they do play with him he's in heaven.  He is still Mama's little man, and I don't currently see a light at the end of that tunnel, but I'm just gonna enjoy it while it lasts. Still crawling all over, not showing any interest in walking either, I think he knows he's supposed to be a baby for me a little longer. We love you little monkey man!!

 Solving the problem of extravagant amounts of cake that we encounter every birthday, was solved this year by this little blue monster, or in other words... After the mini cupcakes burnt, I salvaged a couple regular cupcakes into this fella.

Such a stud! Love him!

11 Months.

All I can say is that the older he gets, the harder it is to keep him on his back.  But things we do love about him are so obvious.  While he seems to be the crankiest baby we've had so far, he is still such an easy going kid, so long as Mom's not in the room.  He says uh oh, and we're pretty sure he says hi also, and he only eats if he can feed himself.  He's on the move all the time and he's discovered the cupboards and all the excitement that lies behind those closed doors.  Best thing about him?  His kisses, come on over if you want to be bathed in drool.  We love you little guy!!

Happy 11 months!  Can't believe you wont be my baby much longer...

Gibson is 3!!!

This kid is such a riot.  We love him so much.  He's talking more and more, but if you're meeting him for the first time you wouldn't know it.  He is so affectionate, love giving kisses and hugs, and he is fearless.  Anyway, we had the typical small family gathering, and it was a perfect day.

 Again the festivities were a little too much for some of us.

He got spoiled rotten by all his Grandmas and Grandpas, like usual!  Thank you everyone for making it a special day for him!  We love you big guy!!

10 Months

 This guy is crawling all over the house.  He's still Mama's boy... (I'm OK with the fact that he loves me the most... 90% of the time.) He is getting better at eating, (the kid cannot get enough Cheerios!!) and we love him!  Like usual. 

P.S. It's really hard taking pictures of a kid who doesn't want to lay down... Or sit still...

9 Months.

August is 9 months old.  WOW!  Anyway he is still struggling with the whole solid food business, but we're still trying.  Lately it feels like he is up ALL NIGHT! So it's a good thing he's cute.  Last but not least, he is mobile.  Well if you count army crawling, because I do.  If they can get from point A to point B, then in my opinion it counts.  Anyway we love you big guy! 

Happy Valentines Day!

Jonas the Pirate is 5!!

Today my big guy turns 5.  It's so cliche to say I'm blown away, but really what else is there to say.  Anyway his day was spent taking Pirate cupcakes to school, playing Legos, watching me decorate his Davy Jones cake, and opening way to many presents, which consisted mostly of Lego as well.

His cupcakes were my favorite part of the day...  So cute!  You can get the printables here

His cake was an all day endeavor, but totally worth it. He was pretty excited!

Anyway it was a good day for a five year old.  Pancakes, spaghetti sandwiches, cake and ice cream...

  

A party with lots of presents...  What more could a kid ask for.

 

Apparently the festivities were to much for some people...

And the day is being finished off with the best activity of all.  Daddy time.

8 Months!

I know I've skipped Christmas but too bad!  This guy is just too cute not to get on here!  He is a sitter now, and he's figuring out the whole eating thing too.  As long as it's not to sour anyway!  A little side note, he is always up on his hands and knees when I get him up from his naps.  He just started doing that this week so technically I should wait til his 9 month post, but it might not be so novel then! Give him another month or so and we may have a speedy little crawler on our hands!

7 months!

I know I should be packing for our Christmas vacation, but I had better get these up first or we just might skip this month completely.  Here's our guy this month! As you can see he's a chunky guy, who loves to smile and play with his toes...  He also likes long walks on the beach and talking about his feelings.  Oh wait, he just likes to cry and poop, and you'll have his heart forever if you'll answer to his every beck and call. Love you big guy!!
