That horse was quite the comedian!

We headed up to Ely this weekend to crash with Matt and Uncle Ted and Aunt Julie.  Matt wasn't able to come (sad :( We missed him) but we went up with Grandma and Grandpa to escape the city one last time.  We had so much fun riding bikes and horses and snuggling cute babies, and staying up late talking and playing, and if your August... Crying... Despite the lack of sleep, it was still so much fun to get out of town for a bit.
We took off Saturday morning and when everyone arrived we headed for Garnet hill.  You smash rocks with hammers and look for Garnets, Gibson said this was his favorite part of the trip...

we were quite the caravan heading up there, We were on dirt bikes and four wheelers, Jonas rode with Grandma and Auntie Lissa, and you can see Gibson on with Grandpa.  His face when we got up to the hill was priceless, he loves those bikes!
On the way back Jonas, Gibson and I went in the side by side with Uncle Ted, and despite the bumps and hills and the loud engine, Gibson still passed out.

On Saturday before we got to Ely, Mark and Laci got to go horseback riding, unfortunately for Mark, he got bucked off.  Laci and Maverick had a good laugh about it later...
On Monday, The boys and I got to go for a ride too. They were so excited to ride the horses, but wanted to get off after like 15 minutes.  Apparently we need to spend more time in the great out doors... And August couldn't even keep his eyes open considering he was up all night the night before... Rotten kid. He was really excited to be on a horse though...

The rest of the time was just spent hanging out, lots of people came and I fell for this little guy, hook line and sinker... What a doll.
We had such a great time.  Can't wait to go back!

Kindergarten!!

Look who's off to Kindergarten!  He was all ready to go, complete with Super Hero backpack and all.
I just remembered this today, but when I was in elementary school I was an Eagle too!
Waiting in line! It's almost time to start!
Jonas's teacher Ms. Fabian.  She seems super nice.  I think it's going to be a great year! Good luck and work hard buddy!

Has it really been all summer?

I guess I should get back to the grind... We have had such a fun summer.  Between visits to Canada, and backyard camping, and lots of freezies... Swimming lessons, spray parks, and Trampoline time, this summer has flown right by.  Jonas has gone from tadpole, to swimmer, not to mention he's starting Kindergarten tomorrow. Ack! Get ready for Photo overload! Sorry everyone who doesn't care! But I guess you wouldn't be here if you didn't care a little... Right?
P.S. Apparently the only time I took pictures this summer was in Canada... I promise we had more fun than that!

Waterton!

I swear my Dad looks like he could be in an Ice cream Ad in this picture... Mmmmmm Ice cream!
Goodies from the candy shop... Best place in Waterton.
 The Bubble pop...
 Banana with Papa!

Calaway Park.  We went on the best day, no lines for rides, the boys had so much fun! And thanks Debbie and Auntie Jessie for watching August for us, he would've been miserable!

 Only ones on the train!

This roller coaster was the best, and the by the end of the day, it was empty too. The boys rode it for a half hour straight since there was no one else waiting to get on.

Cousins! Sure wish we lived closer!

It was such a good summer, highlights would include Canada, Free Gym days, feeding the giant fish at Lake Mead, Swimming lessons and just being lazy. Worst moments would probably only be August getting 3 ear infections in 6 weeks.  Total bummer, but we survived with flying colors.  On to the next adventure... Kindergarten!

August got a haircut!

This kid was lucky enough to not have to experience a hair cut till after his1st birthday, plus he was doubly lucky that he didn't get his rookie parents to wield the clippers like his brothers had to.  As much as I was hoping that his little wispy wing would turn to curls, he has unfortunately inherited the same stick straight locks as his brothers.

As you can see, there was a little hope... But alas, he was starting to look homeless, so we took the plunge and had cousin Melinda do the deed.

He was not to thrilled with the process as you can see from his very cranky after photo.  Thanks again Grandma and Melinda!!

Look who Graduated!!

I can't believe this kid is getting ready to start kindergarten in the fall. He did so well in his class, and even though he has informed me that his favorite day of school was his graduation, I am certain that he loved it!  We'll miss his teachers, they were seriously so awesome, but I'm so excited to watch him grow and learn and experience all he can.  We're so proud of you!

Being a 1 year old... Again.

I received a request for more pictures of my little August growing up, so here you go Auntie Lissa. It was so fun to go back through all his months and find these.  When he was born I had all these ideas to do a picture in the same outfit to see how much he'd grown, but when all was said and done, I just thought these were cuter, and better representations of how I see him.
