Well it's that time of the month again... I guess I'd better update the blog.  Let's just say the last month has been pretty busy...  in a lazy kind of way.  We went up to Canada for our last trip of the year!!!  We had a ton of fun, but can you believe I only took like 4 pictures that whole 2 weeks?  Anyway, we played with cousins and saw a couple movies, Gibson finally decided nursery is OK and we haven't had any problems since.  (Yay!)
After our trip, my Mom flew back to Vegas with us for another couple weeks, and let me tell you, what a dream!  Eating In and Out, Going to BILL COSBY (you heard me, right?  BILL COSBY!!!  I've loved him my whole life and he didn't disappoint!).  Setting up Christmas, shopping, and just making her relax a little bit.  (She needs it!).  Anyway it's been a fun month and now it's time to get back to real life.  Or not...  It is Christmas time after all!

Well here are just a few pictures of the last month.  Enjoy!
We visited some baby Chicks with Papa John, the boys loved them!

Gibson and his little cousin, Everett!  So cute, I love to squish his thighs. To give you an idea, they are 11 months apart, Everett only weight 4 pounds less that Gibson.
Jonas putting the star on the tree!

This little guy keeps leaving presents under our tree, Notice what's behind him?  Apparently he isn't toilet trained...
Every time Gibson put an ornament on the tree, he'd do a little dance and give someone a hug, he was so excited!

October!

Our October has been...  Well I can't say busy, so I guess I'll say sick and lazy.  If you noticed the new addition to the blog, (Top right...) you can probably guess why.  I have been feeling pretty yucky so blogging has not been on the to do list... Wait, is it ever?

Anyway in some more fun news, this big guy started nursery this month.  And he hates it!  Well, he hates getting dropped off.  Apparently he's just fine once they start singing or playing with toys.  Anyway, hooray for freedom!

Next up this month were our Halloween festivities.  There was pumpkin carving...

Jonas wanted a spider and Mom wanted a silly monster face.
I don't think they turned out too bad, thanks to Dad's awesome pumpkin carving skills!
And then we had the ward trunk or treat.  Jonas has been wearing last years Batman costume for 6 months now, so he got to be Batman again, and Gibson recycled Jonas's goat costume from his first Halloween.

Happy Halloween!

Can you tell I've been going crazy this past week?

This is my last project this week.  Although I should admit it's been sitting in my sewing box for a year or so. (Shhhhh... don't tell!)  I finally got up the courage and stippled it a few nights ago while I've been so lonely!  I'm hoping now that Matt's done, theprojects wont end, but hey, no guarantees!

Mouse pad!

This is pretty self explanatory, We needed it, so I did it.

Before, yucky and peeling...

After: Pretty Polka Dots!

Ironing Board Cover

I've been trying to stay sane while Matt works like crazy this week, and sometimes staying sane means ignoring your kids so you can make something!  So I did.  I bought this mini ironing board at the D.I. for 3 dollars, and then used fabric I already had to make it pretty again.  I just winged it, but I think it turned out pretty good.  Just don't look at my top stitching, my machine was being kinda weird!
Just so you all know I didn't ignore them all day, just part of it!
Before
Eww gross, right?
After

Oh and just a note about the previous post, I've been getting a lot of questions about whether that photo was staged or not, and let me just say, yes, it was. (Obviously) But it was staged by me because of this photo.

Jonas told me he was ready for church, he did it all by himself, and I thought it would make a funny picture if Gibson was in it too. So it wasn't all me.  We have a smart alec 3 year old to blame!

The Pink Strawberry Chocolate Milk Cake...

We have been so lonely this week with Matt working late every night, so last night Jonas requested that we bake a pink cake.  Because the fun parent isn't around, I'm trying to do special fun things with the kids this week.  Anyway, we baked it last night and frosted it this morning!  Can't wait to dig in!

Before and Afters: Bedroom

I've knew I took a before picture but it seemed to be lost, until this morning.  So, here it is.  Our room.

and I don't even have school to blame...

I have no excuses...  None.  Except Mockingjay.  But that only explains the last 4 days.  Anyway I guess I'll just get caught up and be done with it.

This month started with Jonas in swimming lessons, he did great.  Even the 2 days that he didn't go in the water, he was a very good boy watching from the sidelines.  Anyway, he started out super excited about it and then it kind of went down hill. But after a fun cheer, and promises of Slurpee's, he was back in the water!

Then we celebrated my birthday, the big 2-8.  Matt surprised me with a concert to Uncle Kracker and Blake Shelton.  So fun!  The best part was the kids staying at Grandma and Grandpa's and I got to sleep in til 9!!
We had one stir crazy day where we had to get out of the house, so we hit the park as soon as dad got home from work.

After that we kind of went through a tired streak.  I'm not sure why...
(yes, he's in the shower...)
Anyway, yesterday we had a final hurrah to summer and hit up Voodoo beach at the Rio.  A real sand beach/pool. Gibson took a while to warm up to the feeling of sand between his toes, but after Daddy showed him how fun it was, we all really had a good time.

OOOOOOOH CANADAAAAAAAAAAA!

Well...  To appease the masses, namely my Mom, Mother in Law and TBAINWWW.  Here is our trip to Canada in Pictures.  I'd like to say I've been super busy and that's why it's taken me so long to blog again, but I'd be lying.  Unless you count busy as, holding a crying, teething, whiny, 1 year old, non stop since I got home.
I'm skipping the incredible long weekend alone with my husband in this post.  But the pictures of Banff and Lake Louise are so pretty that I will do my best to blog about that in the near future.  Anyway, let the pictures commence!
BTW there are not that many.  We spent a lot of time with cousins and at Family reunions and just hanging out, but for some reason the camera didn't come out very often.

When I see this picture I wonder when Jonas got so big.
The sweetest moment of the parade.

Meeting one of Uncle Marks Horses.  We also went out for an afternoon and got to take a ride but I don't have copies of those pictures.  Jonas did say it was his favorite part of the whole trip.

Swimming in the Raymond Pool!

On the drive to the airport, Gibson was enthralled that he could hear the movie in the car through the headphones!

The powdered sugar game.  So Fun!

And because I keep talking about Gibsons Dancing...  We just got done swimming in the back yard so don't mind Jonas and his underwear!
