The Party!

Like I said before, we kept the festivities pretty low key, but I don't want the world to think I didn't bake this kid a special birthday cake. (Especially when last year I didn't)  We ended up at a family get together on the 16th and decided to have his cake there in the hopes of not having that much left over.  Anyway I think he liked it!  Even now when he see's pictures he gets really excited!

Dirt Bikes! Anyone who knows this kid, knows about his slight obsession!

Don't let his face fool you, he really was excited!  He was just waiting very patiently to blow out the candles!

Gibson is 2!

We're keeping things low key again for this kids birthday, just Mom, Dad, and Big Brother!  But we are so proud of this big boy.  He is such a lover and currently loves giving spontaneous hugs and kisses!  Mommies favorite!  He also loves to wrestle with Dad, play with cars and dirt bikes, and raid the fridge.  We love you big fella!

Here's our little man 2 years ago...

And last year...

And today...

We did the traditional decorating of the door...  Thank you Matt for photo bombing!

And lets not forget pancakes!

We love you Gibson!

The Many Faces of Gibson...

As you can see I must love my youngest the most...  Just kidding, but the other night were having dessert and he started making all sorts of funny faces.  Also He was on Matt's Bike the other day and He was acting like a thug.  Had to post it.

Other things on my mind today...  1.  New Headboard!  Yay! I can't wait to pick it up tomorrow.  We've never had a new headboard before!  Thank you RC Willey, for having a sale today!

2.  Pinterest...  For everyone on this, where do you find the time to even find all the cute stuff on your boards?  In the 2 weeks I've been on, I think I've pinned 2 things!  I'm struggling!
p.s.  Matt, darling, this might be a good place to check if you are ever wondering what gifts I might like! You know, if we ever have any money...

3.  Less than 10 weeks til baby...  it sounds like a lot...  But it isn't.  I'm entering panic mode! I haven't even started his quilt.

4.  Heading up to Canada in July, just occurred to me I might need to get the little stinker a passport.  We should be OK with an infant, right?  We're just driving...  I hope.

5.  WICKED!!!  in Canada, with the whole Fam!  Sooooooooo excited!

I'm pretty sure there is more going on in this brain of mine, but I'll spare everyone!

A Quote from my Husband...

"I figured it out...  You look at the house the same way I look at my motorcycle."
It's true too.  I sit in my house all day and see everything that could look better.  We are not planning on living in this house forever so I know that all of these improvements wont happen.  That's OK, but I have decided that anything that can be done affordably, should be.  So to get to the point, I'd like you all to flash back to this picture.

Not very pretty right?  This was my kitchen when we moved in almost a year ago.

Then we painted...  Hooray!  Getting better right?  My Mom came and helped me pick out this nice green, so that I didn't have to live in burgundy everyday.  Thanks Mom!!  Anyway this has been my kitchen for the last 10 months or so.

Well, to make a long story short, My mother came to the rescue again, first she surprised me by coming when she could tell I was missing my family, and then she surprised me again by coming up with the crazy idea, to do more home improvements while she was here.  So I would like to unveil my even better looking kitchen!

Tada!

I am in love with this room every time I walk into it.  Mind you, it was a first attempt at ever refinishing anything for me or my Mother, so I would ask that anyone who has the pleasure of seeing it in person, please don't look to close.  But I am thrilled with it none the less, and I think it will do nicely until it's time to move on form this place.  Thanks again Mom for all the help.  You were a trooper!  Also thank you to my patient husband, for stepping up whenever we needed his help too!  It was an endeavor, but so worth it!

Jonas is 4!

I can't believe my guy is 4 years old!  What a big boy.  He is so funny and he makes us laugh everyday.  He loves his Mommy right now, which can be hard at times, but I should really enjoy it while I can because someday he wont want me anymore.  Anyway we had a little party for him the Saturday before his birthday and he had a blast!  Thank you Grandmas and Grandpas and Uncles and Aunts who made him feel special on his birthday!
The Gronckle cake.  It was quite the task... but he was thrilled, so it was worth it!

We made his actual birthday special too, by decorating the house and his room with streamers and balloons.  Plus he got to pick every meal we ate that day.  I loved the pancakes he picked for breakfast, he can pick those any day!

Holiday Fun!

We had a wonderful holiday! After My mom left, things were pretty relaxed,  we Christmas shopped and got everything ready for the holiday.  And let me tell you, for once we actually had all our shopping done like a week before Christmas! I owe it all to my Brother and his wife for coming for a visit.  We didn't want to be party poopers and shop the whole time, so we tried to have it all done before they got here!  It was awesome.  So was their Visit! (Brock and Tasha... Please come back!) Anyway here is our holiday in pictures!  Enjoy!
I know these are late, but here we go!

The Gingerbread village we made!  So much Fun!

Christmas Eve.   The cutest Shepherd in the nativity!
Arrr Matey!  After Tommy left and Right!
Future Belt holders, Jr. division (for now anyway...)

And look who we caught by the tree Christmas Eve, after the boys were asleep of course!

 Now onto Christmas day!

All the kids on Christmas morning, After we opened a mountain of presents!
Jonas was thrilled to get his Deadly Nadder from How To Train Your Dragon, I think he was a little concerned Santa was going to forget!  But his face was priceless when we handed him that gift from Santa.  So excited, even before he got the wrapping paper off!
And what better way to celebrate Christmas than to go out to the desert and shoot at things!  Seriously, Laci, tell your Dad we had sooooo much fun!
Yes I am shooting a gun!

Of course he would... No surprise there!
And New Years Eve!
We spent a quiet evening at the Brandleys, eating and playing games till the countdown.

We are so stylish!

Hooray for 2011!

This fella only made it til a quarter to 11, and yes he fell asleep while eating a chip...  Which he then left on uncle Mikes shoulder!

This guy on the other hand lasted til 11:30!  So close, maybe next year!

Happy New Year!

Well it's that time of the month again... I guess I'd better update the blog.  Let's just say the last month has been pretty busy...  in a lazy kind of way.  We went up to Canada for our last trip of the year!!!  We had a ton of fun, but can you believe I only took like 4 pictures that whole 2 weeks?  Anyway, we played with cousins and saw a couple movies, Gibson finally decided nursery is OK and we haven't had any problems since.  (Yay!)
After our trip, my Mom flew back to Vegas with us for another couple weeks, and let me tell you, what a dream!  Eating In and Out, Going to BILL COSBY (you heard me, right?  BILL COSBY!!!  I've loved him my whole life and he didn't disappoint!).  Setting up Christmas, shopping, and just making her relax a little bit.  (She needs it!).  Anyway it's been a fun month and now it's time to get back to real life.  Or not...  It is Christmas time after all!

Well here are just a few pictures of the last month.  Enjoy!
We visited some baby Chicks with Papa John, the boys loved them!

Gibson and his little cousin, Everett!  So cute, I love to squish his thighs. To give you an idea, they are 11 months apart, Everett only weight 4 pounds less that Gibson.
Jonas putting the star on the tree!

This little guy keeps leaving presents under our tree, Notice what's behind him?  Apparently he isn't toilet trained...
Every time Gibson put an ornament on the tree, he'd do a little dance and give someone a hug, he was so excited!
