Independence day! oh and Motts Berry Farm

We took Jonas to his first fireworks last night! He didn't get to go last year because we were in Canada, not to mention who wants to take a 5 month old to fire works. Actually all day yesterday I was wondering if I even wanted to take a 17 month old to fire works, and when we woke him up to go, he had such a good cry I was really doubting my judgement. Anyway we went prepared with earplugs and mosquito repellent, and ended up arriving just in time to lay out the blanket and take a couple pictures before they started. Jonas was tired but I think he enjoyed them. We ended up just covering his ears instead of using the earplugs and he just sat and watched. It ended up being very late night for him, but he handled it like a trooper. On the 2 hour drive home he waved to all the traffic directors and people walking by and fell asleep right before we got home.

Jonas ended up waking up right on time this morning despite the late night, so we decided to go check out the little petting zoo that's just down the street! It was pretty cool, and he had a lot of fun. He's pretty fearless when it comes to petting the critter and he also was hand feeding the ponies and goats! He loves animals, and we actually got a few grins and giggles out of him.

I love his little overalls! He looks like a little farmer in those pictures. There is clearly no doubt that he is your son, Renee/Elmyra! Love you!
