Praying for Spring

We went out on Saturday and braved the mud. We went back to see the cows and then we took a trip to the mail box. Nothing too exciting but it was still nice to get out of the house.

What was really nice about Saturday was the fact that I got to go hang out with a friend while Matt got to spend a few hours with Jonas. You've got to love shopping (or window shopping in my case!) and getting lunch at the O.G. So yummy. Love that soup, salad and breadsticks. Also just for you Mim, in honor of your post on skinny jeans. I tried a pair on and I didn't hate them like I thought I would. I'm still not brave enough to buy them, but maybe someday... Anyway one last great thing about spring is that Matt will hopefully be able to relax a little more. No more Chemistry!! Which also means that maybe I'll stop finding him like this.

Hoppy Easter?

Ok so are we rotten parents or what? We knew it was Easter... We had an Easter basket for Jonas and everything... But for some reason we never got around to giving it to him until this morning! I know he doesn't know the difference, but still... Anyway we still had a great day yesterday. We went to church and then we had a dinner planned with Mike, Emily and Nia. It was delicious and we had a lot of fun hanging out and playing games. Anyway, this morning. I finally got around to letting Jonas play in his easter basket and get some good pictures so here are some happy Easter pics.

Then he took a nap, and so did Dad... The dog was still passed out from the previous strangulation.

As you can see we are still teething and we are still sick so enjoy the pictures because they are sweet! One exciting update is that spring is on it's way, I think I even saw new grass trying to break through today! I can't wait to go outside and play.

And neither can he!!

New Computer and New... What! Molars?!

The new computer has only been mentioned to explain the lack of pictures, because we haven't had a chance to move everything from the old computer yet. Anway, I have only taken a couple pictures this week due to the dreaded Molars. I know we are smiling in the above photo but I think that was just for the camera. I can't decide if I like it when Jonas is teething or if I hate it. On one hand he is so cranky and seems to cry for no reason, but on the other hand, as long as he is being cuddled and snuggled, he is just fine. On top of the molars he also has a horrible rotten cold. (again!) Matt says he's fine and should get sick so he can keep building up his immune system but I wonder if he isn't getting sick too often. I think this is his 3rd cold since we moved here. I don't know. He seems ok but if anyone has any input let me know. Maybe it's this drafty old trailer. Anyway, to end this fantasticly interesting post (*wink) Here is another funny video. Lately he can't get enough dancing. It's pretty cute. He'll even dance when there is no music. He marches to the beat of a different drum.

Why do all parents think their kids look so cute in sunglasses? I hate to say it but I totally agree. Mostly I just like his expression!

What a goofy kid!! anyway not much is happening here as usual but Jonas is getting better at walking, and braver too! Sometimes he'll actually let go of the furniture and try and get to where he wants to go. He can go quite a distance before falling down too! Pretty exciting, well fr him anyway, he gets really happy when he feels like he's done a good job!

The First thing off the Shelf

Well, here I go again being a proud mommy. My morning consists of three things, diapers, breakfast, and playing. Every morning when Jonas gets up I change his extremely sopping wet diaper(I guess 11 hours in a diaper will do that) and then he gets plopped by his toy shelf with a sippy of milk while I go fix him something to eat, and the first things to hit the floor are his books, I know I know it doesn't mean a thing about his intelligence or that he's going to grow up to be a rocket scientist or a brain surgeon or anything like that. I guess I'm just hoping that his love of books will continue to grow. I know how much I love to read and I just hope that he will too!

Last but not least here is Jonas' new crawling method. We call it "Battering Ram". He usually moves a lot faster but by the time we got this clip Matt had made him crawl across the kitchen floor like 5 times so I think he was getting tired. Anyway it's hilarious. The first time he did it he was going full speed and he crashed right into a wall. He was tough though, not a single tear.

The most exciting thing that has happened... Well, since we got here!

Matt walks in the door this afternoon and proposed an adventure, he said, "let's go raccoon hunting." I said "Raccoon Hunting?!" And he said, " Yes, It will be an Adventure". Well what do you know, we found one!! I've never seen a Raccoon before. Next adventure on the list... Porcupines!

Long overdue...

I should have posted my winter project weeks ago but for some reason I haven't... (I promise Camille, I finished the binding forever ago!!) This is what I worked on with my Sis while Matt and I freeloaded up in Canada. Super fun! I've said it before and I'm about to say it again. Try quilting you'll be hooked! Oh and if you're searching for some easy cute beginner patterns... I know a place! (wink*).

Boogers, bathtime, and standing all on my own!

So here's what's been happening the last few days, On Friday night Jonas woke up at about 11:30 and he was not feeling to well. He was all congested and could barely breathe, so after a good steam in the bathroom for 20 minutes we kinda let him hang out with us. Matt was playing so he let Jonas play too! Can we say game face? Anyway he's been all snotty ever since. Anyone who knows me knows that isn't a good thing. Eww!

Tonight Matt gave Jonas a bath and he was just having such a good time that we had to take pictures!

He's been standing for a while now but I haven't actually posted a picture, he's especially good at standing when he doesn't realize he's doing it!

Going... Going... Well almost anyway!

Jonas has finally taken a few steps on his own tonight! It was very exciting. When he did it the first time he started screaming and laughing right after. I think he was kind of over that though, by the time we got the camera out. Anyway we are so proud of our big boy!!

Jonas thought it would be fun to eat his cereal like a piggy!! He is so silly sometimes!

Stinky, Smelly Cows!

We went on a little walk today to kind of explore the property. Our Landlord has cows so we though Jonas might like to see them. He didn't seem all that interested, but Wyatt on the other hand was very interested and didn't know what to think! It was a nice little break and it was nice to see what's out there. I can't wait till summer there will be so much more to do and Jonas will be walking, so we wont have to carry him around everywhere. It's too bad we're so far out of town because I really like it out here!
